What an exciting weekend for Doug Guertin and Steve Roulier, another huge congratulations to both of them for their performances in Kona. I can only imagine the excitement they both felt on the big island. Doug finished in 11:00:06 1:07 swim, 5:38 bike and 4:02 run). Steve wrapped up his day with an 11:14:28 (1:14 swim, 5:36 bike and 4:15 run). Great job guys!!!
Congrats to those 3 that made their way out to Arizona on November 17th and completed great races. Paul, George and Chris all had great races. Results can be found here.
What a weekend for those who headed up to Vermont for the 50 mile mountain bike, run or 50k run. Peter, Gail, Julia, Wayne, Rob & Joe represented the colors well and they had a beautiful day for racing. Here are the results.
A strong contingent of Cyclonauts traveled to Rhode Island and Maine over the weekend to compete in late season Half Iron races. Firmman presented some strong winds along the coast, but both venues had some great weather for racing. As always, we represented extremely well with multiple podiums and some smoking fast times. Great job by everyone!

Despite Mike's heroic breakthrough race kit at the speedo challenge over the weekend, Cyclonaut chatter has been about nothing but Kona dreams coming true for two Ironman Hawaii first-timers, Steve R and the president himself, Doug G. Doug was the first to get the highly coveted Kona slot at the 2013 edition of Ironman Lake Placid. Doug exited the water in 1:02, biked a 5:42, and brought home his race with a 3:54 marathon, good enough for 6th in his AG, and entry into the biggest race of the season!! Steve enjoyed the culmination of his training a little further north at Ironman Mont Tremblant in August. Steve's big performance began with a 1:09 swim, a 5:18 bike, and a swift 3:48 marathon breaking tape in 10:24:21. A tremendous congrats to the two of you as you will do a wonderful job representing the club this coming October in the place where Ironman truly began.
Mary and Doug were the only 'Nauts to make the trek out to Vegas this year for the city's final year hosting 70.3 Worlds. Athletes there got a gift from the weather as rain cooled the normal triple digit heat for the race. Both Mary and Doug had some great times (as usual) and represented the colors in style (as usual). Should be a good tune up for Doug's debut on the Big Island next month.
A huge turnout of 'Nauts showed up for the 2nd Annual Check for Change Event in Chicopee State Park. Known to many as the Speedo challenge, there were plenty of speedos in attendance and some crazy fast times as well. Here are the results for 2013
